From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

1. Head west on Driveway to Airport Access Road.
2. Travel 0.3 miles and then follow Driveway to Airport Access Road as it bears right. Continue 0.2 mile.
3. Turn left onto Airport Access Road. Travel 0.3 mile.
4. Bear right onto U.S. 1 North, the Jefferson Davis Highway. Continue 1.0 mile.
5. Continue onto Jefferson Davis Highway, Highway 110 North. Travel 2.2 miles.
6. Bear left onto Wilson Boulevard. Travel 0.3 mile.
7. Turn right onto North Moore Street.
8. The Rosslyn Metro Center building is the first building on the left at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and North Moore Street.

From Washington Dulles International Airport

1. Head east on Highway 267 East, the Dulles Airport Access Road. Travel 14.3 miles.
2. Follow as the road goes into Highway 267 South, the Dulles International Airport Road. Continue 2.5 miles.
3. Follow as road folds into I-66 East, Custis Memorial Parkway. Travel 6.3 miles.
4. Continue onto ramp to U.S. 29 East, Lee Highway. Travel 0.5 mile.
5. Bear right onto Fort Myer Drive. Go 0.1 mile.
6. Bear left onto unnamed road to Wilson Boulevard. Travel 0.1 mile.
7. Turn left onto North Moore Street.
8. The Rosslyn Metro Center building is the first building on the left at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and North Moore Street.
9. Parking is available for a nominal fee at the first parking garage entrance on the left.

From Richmond and Points South of Arlington

1. Take I-95 northbound. It becomes I-395 shortly after Springfield/Newington. Stay in one of the left lanes.
2. Continue on I-395.
3. Exit onto Route 27, Washington Boulevard toward Claredon. This exit follows the Glebe Road exit.
4. Move into the right lane and take the second exit, Route 50 East.
5. Stay in the right lane and take the second exit, Key Bridge/Rosslyn.
6. At the stop sign enter North Lynn Street and immediately get into the left lane.
7. Move to the leftmost lane and turn left onto Wilson Boulevard.
8. Turn immediately right onto North Moore Street.
9. The Rosslyn Metro Center building is the first building on the left at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and North Moore Street.
10. Parking is available for a nominal fee at the first parking garage entrance on the left.

From Baltimore/ Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

1. Head northeast on Friendship Rd. Travel 0.7 mile.
2. Take a slight left at I-195 W (signs for MD-170/I-95/Washington/Baltimore/I-295/Annapolis). Travel 1.5 miles.
3. Take exit 2B for Balt/Wash Pkwy/MD-295. Travel 0.4 mile.
4. Merge onto MD-295 S. Travel 23.6 miles.
5. Take the exit onto US-50 W toward Washington Entering District of Columbia. Travel 5.0 miles.
6. Turn left at 4th St NW. Travel 49 feet.
7. Take a slight left at I-395 S. Travel 1.5 miles.
8. Take the exit onto I-395 S Entering Virginia. Travel 2.5 miles.
9. Take exit 8B to merge onto VA-110 N toward I-66. Travel 2.2 miles.

From the I-66/Roosevelt Bridge

1. Follow road signs to I-66 West.
2. Enter I-66. Travel 0.6 mile.
3. Bear right onto U.S. 50 West, Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Bridge. Travel 0.1 mile.
4. Bear right onto ramp. Travel less than 0.1 mile.
5. Turn left onto North Moore Street.

From the Key Bridge

1. Follow road signs to George Washington Memorial Parkway.
2. Enter George Washington Parkway West. Travel 0.7 mile.
3. Bear left onto Spout Run Parkway. Continue 0.5 mile.
4. Bear left onto turnaround ramp for Spout Run Parkway. Travel 0.5 mile.
5. Continue onto George Washington Memorial Parkway. Travel 0.6 mile.

From the Washington Area Metro Subway

GTRI's Washington Operations is located in the Rosslyn Metro Center building. The Rosslyn Metro Center building is two subway stops from the Pentagon and five subway stops from the airport, traveling north on the Blue Line.

1. Exit the subway at Rosslyn and ascend the escalator.
2. At the top of the escalator, exit the turnstile on the left and go directly into the building in front of you.
3. Take the elevator to the 19th floor.

Visitor Procedures

Classified visits are necessary when the purpose of the visits cannot be achieved without access to, or disclosure of, classified information. All classified visits require advance notification to and approval of GTRI.

Visits to the Institute Involving Access to Classified Information

1. GTRI visitors must sign in and out on the register for classified visits with the building attendant of the building visited. All visitors attending classified meetings must have an approved classified visit request for the specific visit on file with the GTRI Research Security Department.
2. All visitors will have their identity verified and remain under constant escort when in areas in which classified work is in progress or classified information is available, unless otherwise authorized by the Research Security Department. The designated escort will be made aware of the visitor's access and movement limitations by the visitor's point of contact. Transfer of escort responsibility to another employee will be accomplished directly and personally.
3. Visitors will be prohibited from making recordings during classified discussions, or taking photographs in any area where classified information might be recorded on film, unless the visitor has received prior written approval by the Government Contracting Authority (GCA) whose classified information is involved. A copy of this authorization must be provided to GTRI's director of research security in advance of the visit.
4. Classified material may not be released to a visitor without prior written approval of the GCA, except as required in connection with contract administration, in performance of a prime or subcontract or as necessary in connection with an official investigation.
5. Representatives of the federal government, when acting in their official capacity as inspectors, investigators or auditors, may visit the Institute without advanced notification, provided these representatives present appropriate government credentials upon arrival.

Long-term Visitors

Long-term visitors will follow GTRI's security procedures while a resident in the facility. Additionally, long-term visitors will:

1. Arrange for their own visits away from the facility through their own company security office.
2. Execute a security agreement acknowledging that they will follow GTRI's security policies and procedures. (Government employees and intermittent visitors are excluded from this requirement.)
3. Not be permitted to be custodians of classified material.

Visits Not Involving Access to Classified Information

1. Visitors will not be permitted to obtain physical, visual or aural access to classified information or material.
2. When required, the visitor will present satisfactory identification and complete and sign the visitor register with the building attendant of the building visited.
3. Prior authorization from GTRI's director of research security will be required for non-escort status and authorization to bring reproduction or recording equipment or material into the facility to be used in conjunction with a classified visit.
