Venture Philanthropy: A new way to think about innovation
GTRI has been solving some the world's most complex problems for 75 years. Originally called the Engineering Experiment Station (EES), today GTRI has over 1,200 employees and is located in eight states and the Republic of Ireland. Customers rely on us to deliver results on-time and on-budget. We have extensive technical expertise in-house and have the ability to reach across campus and around the globe to tap additional skills as needed. We employ over 200 Georgia Tech students each year allowing instant access to fresh perspectives and future employees.
GTRI seeks innovation partners to focus on large scale society problems like water, energy, shelter, food and education.
Goals include:
- Engaging with industry and philanthropists who want to explore future technologies and see results.
- Teaming with people on the ground who experience problems first hand so that solutions are practical & likely to be implemented
- Utilizing the amazing collection of intellectual firepower at our disposal with extensive project management experience to serve as bridge between academia and industry
- Making the world a better place
