
With customers and colleagues working around the state, nation and world, the Georgia Tech Research Institute receives many visitors both at its Atlanta headquarters and at its other locations around Georgia and the United States.
GTRI Pearl City is located in Hawaii and is focused on the growing need for technological advancements in the Department of Defense to address dynamic challenges in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The team provides direct support to U.S. Pacific Command and the Service Component Commands in Hawaii in capability gap analysis, capability development including prototyping, testing and experimentation, risk assessments and reduction measures, and technical support to military operations including exercises.
Current and past customers include United States Pacific Command (USPACOM), United States Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT), U.S. Pacific Air Force (USPACAF), Marine Corps Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC), U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Hawaii Air National Guard, University of Hawaii Applied Research Laboratory, the Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

The Pearl City location has a conference and meeting space and offers classes and training for the local base engineering population, and provides on-site solutions, as well as has a deep reach-back to GTRI’s Atlanta-based laboratories.
