IEEE Names GTRI's Barnhart a Senior Member

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Information and Communications Laboratory (ICL) Principal Research Engineer Eric Barnhart was elevated to Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) during the organization’s last review panel. Meeting on Sept. 17, 2011, in Detroit, Mich., IEEE named 248 new senior members.

Barnhart, who first joined GTRI in 1983, is responsible for the management and development of GTRI systems and technology sponsored programs in both commercial telecommunications and military C3I (Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence) systems and countermeasures. He is also a member of the Association of Old Crows, International Society for Optical Engineering, Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.
