Kim Toatley

AVP GTRI Financial & Research Administration

Kimberly (Kim) Toatley currently serves as AVP GTRI Financial & Research Administration where she is responsible for four operational units: Sponsored Project Support, Accounting, Budgeting and Finance, and Rates and Audits. Kim functions as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for GTRI. As a member of the executive staff, Kim provides support for strategic planning and overall management of GTRI.

Kim was the first Director of Business Operations for GTRI in 2014 when it was established. She was selected as a 2017 Leading Women of Georgia Tech member. She has received the 2013 Distinguished Performance Awards for Outstanding Program Support and the 2015 Distinguished Mentor Award in Support Operations.

Ms. Toatley became the Deputy Director for Finance and Research Administration in 2018. She has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting along with over 28 years of experience in university operations. Ms. Toatley has experience with both university government accounting principles (A-21) and commercial accounting principles for government contractors (FAR31.2).

Ms. Toatley graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and received her Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Management.
