Director, Talent Management
Tineke Battle is the Director of Talent Management for GTRI. Tineke provides direction in the overall strategy, operational planning, budgeting, and leadership for GTRI’s Talent Management Department (TMD).
Before accepting this position, Tineke served as the director of human resources at Fort Valley State University. There, she oversaw the execution of various HR strategies and championed the transformation of HR into a function that proactively contributes to the achievement of key business results while helping to reshape and reskill the culture of continuous learning for faculty and staff. Before her role at Fort Valley State University, Tineke held two other notable positions: assistant vice provost for faculty affairs – human resources at Pennsylvania State University and director of talent management and human resources operations at Georgia State University.
Tineke is a member of the College and University Personnel Association (CUPA) for Human Resources, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). She earned a master of education in learning, leadership, and organizational development from the University of Georgia, and a bachelor of science in sociology from Georgia State University. Additionally, Tineke is a graduate of the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Executive Leadership Academy for Women at Georgia State University.
Tineke is certified in several human resources topics, including affirmative action, employee relations law, negotiation and conflict resolution, and campus dispute mediation.
