GTRI to Sponsor 2009 Georgia Tech Legislative Roundtable

The 2009 Georgia Tech Legislative Roundtable, taking place on November 12, 2009, is co-sponsored by the Georgia Tech Research Institute and the Technology Association of Georgia. It is an annual event focused on bringing legislators, technical researchers, and industry representatives together to discuss emerging science and technology policy issues on the forward legislative landscape.

The event will feature three concurrent roundtable discussions consisting of five panelists each: three legislators, one Georgia Tech technical expert, and a moderator from the GT School of Public Policy. Each panel will provide commentary, discuss, and field questions on the policy implications of one of three fastest emerging science and technology topics: Smart Grid Technology, Future (Digital) Media, and STEM Education and the Workforce.
