GTRI in Photos - Spring 2025

05.16.2025 | GTRI Communications

From rotating lab tours and hands-on STEM activities, to mascot moments with Buzz, Georgia Tech Research Institute’s (GTRI) Take Your Kids to Work Day on April 24th gave kids a behind-the-scenes look at the important work their parents do. They also heard a panel of staffers and research faculty discuss what it’s like to work at GTRI.

High-Temp Electromagnetic Testing Evaluates Materials for Hypersonic Vehicles

Hypersonic vehicles must be able to send and receive information while operating at the high temperatures associated with speeds of Mach 5 (five times the speed of sound) or greater. To support development of these vehicles, GTRI is testing the ability of specialized low-loss materials to transmit electromagnetic signals at temperatures measured in thousands of degrees Celsius.
