Cooperative Education

GTRI’s Co-operative Education (“co-op”) program offers you extensive opportunities to participate in diverse scientific and technological endeavors, use state-of-the-art equipment and rapidly improve your technical and leadership skills. The program allows you to alternate semesters of full-time school with three semesters of full-time work at GTRI.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete at least one semester of a four-year undergraduate degree program.
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be approved and enrolled in a cooperative education program at your university.
  • Commit to alternate semesters of full-time school with three semesters of full-time work.
  • Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, most positions will require U.S. citizenship.

Interns and Student Assistants

Undergraduate students have the opportunity to work with our laboratories in different research areas. Additionally, GTRI has several support units that assist with research and administrative activities. These enriching, hands-on experiences help prepare students for successful employment upon graduation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete at least one semester of a four-year undergraduate degree program.
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, most positions will require U.S. citizenship.

Graduate Research Assistants

Graduate research assistants (GRA's) are enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program at Georgia Tech and participate in more advanced research projects on the cutting edge of technology. Graduate students have an opportunity to expand their skills, apply their knowledge and gain a competitive edge in the job market.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be enrolled full-time in a graduate program at Georgia Tech.
  • Be able to work up to 20 hours per week.
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Due to the nature of the work at GTRI, most positions will require U.S. citizenship.
