Center for Health Analytics & Informatics (CHAI)

CHAI's mission is to improve human health and medical research through innovations in the captureanalysis, and delivery of data to healthcare stakeholders.

The Center has four key goals:

  • The creation of a harmonized health data ecosystem across diverse data types including structured, unstructured, on-body, genomic, and patient reported data
  • The creation and adoption of standardized open source platforms for health analytics, incorporating advanced machine learning, natural language processing, sensors, and deep phenotyping
  • The promotion and development of health interoperability protocols such as FHIR and OHDSI
  • The application of user experience design and evaluation to evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven healthcare intervention
