Applied Systems Laboratory

Dr. Bullard is Director of the Applied Systems Laboratory, Georgia Tech Research Institute. ASL conducts applied research, development, testing & evaluation in the areas of air & missile defense, ballistic missile defense and rotary-wing aircraft avionics software & systems engineering. As ASL Director, Dr. Bullard conducts supervisory management of ASL research faculty and staff, fiscal management of the Laboratory, and implements Lab and Institute strategic objectives as a member of the GTRI Management Council. Dr. Bullard also holds the research faculty rank of Principal Research Engineer at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Previously, Dr. Bullard held the position of Professor (tenured) at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indianapolis. He also served as Chief Scientist for the Schools’ Institute for Forensic Imaging. Prior to joining Purdue, Dr. Bullard lead research projects as Division Chief and Chief Scientist of the GTRI Huntsville Research Laboratory. He published widely in the areas of radar systems design, RCS/NCTR modeling & simulation and radar performance analysis.

Dr. Bullard is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Electrical Engineer and a Senior Member of IEEE. Dr. Bullard received his BEET from the Southern Polytechnic State University, his MT from Georgia Southern University, and his Ph.D. from Florida Institute of Technology.
